Your Excellencies Ambassador Christina Vasak and Deputy Head of the Mission, Anke Holstein, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen, Bienvenue! Welcome and good evening!
First of all, I would like to thank all of you for joining our Evening of Wine Tasting here. Tonight, we have prepared several kinds of white and red wine for you. Details of those wines will be explained later by each Chamber, but I think each of them is quite tasty.
When people think about “alcohol made in x Country”, they think: Wine for France, beer for Germany and so on…. Actually, each country’wine here present tonight has its history; however, wine has become established in the daily life in Albania, and domestic wineries has grown and increased in number.
What would a world without entrepreneurship look like?
Cicero, the great Roman politician, lawyer and orator of the first century B.C wrote 6 mistakesthat mankind keeps making century after century. According to him, mistake number 3 was, and I quote, “Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it.” Entrepreneurship teaches us the very same thing, namely that just because we cannot accomplish something, it does not mean that it is impossible to achieve.
Ladies and gentlemen, I believe that entrepreneurship is the glue that holds economies together and I would like to congratulate the entrepreneurs present here tonight, importing wine from: France, Germany, Austria, UK, Swiss, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Nordic Countries, and of course, Albania
Thank you once again for coming and I am pleased to give the floor to Mrs Stephanie Sieg, Chairman of DIHA !
Cheers! Santé! Gëzuar!
Speech : Stephanie Sieg
Dear Excellencies,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Business Partners, Chamber Members and Friends!
We are happy to welcome all of you tonight at Tirana Business Park! I echo the address of the President of the French Chamber, Mr. Julien Roche: Entrepreneurship is also our Business, but it is even more: its our passion.
And this is why, DIHA, the German Business Association took up the initiative of the French Chamber to organize a wine and spirits tasting together with the other chambers and business associations in Albania. Everywhere in the world, business needs a good framework in which it can act. Getting together and discussing in a relaxed atmosphere with national wines and spirits shall help us, to get our spirit onto the business topics of Albania.
We all have similar topics and discussion points. We all want to see Albania move ahead. But we also want to see our business moving ahead. We all know that it needs cooperation and channeled action to be successful in the representation and advocacy of our interests.
Tonight, the main objective is to know each other better and to make a first brainstorming of what can be done in the future.
I am happy to have you here as our guests!
