Wizz Air launches London - Tirana route
Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air launched on Thursday flights from London Luton to Albania's Tirana, Tirana International Airport (TIA) said. Wizz Air's new route from London Luton to Tirana will be serviced three times per week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, TIA said in a press release. “We are delighted with the new service operated by Wizz Air. This will be of great help to many Albanians who live in or near to London, and will offer new opportunities for tourists to explore Albania more fully,” TIA’s chief executive officer Rolf Castro-Vasquez said. The launch of the London flight by Wizz Air comes after the Hungarian carrier started in April last year a low-fare service connecting Tirana and Budapest.
